The fourth installment of the "Policy and Governance of Sustainable Food Systems" webinar series, titled: “Land & Food Systems," aims to raise the discourse on land tenure and management and its crucial role in long-term food security through the lens of civil society organizations working on this issue in the Global South.
It will also highlight the importance of smallholder food producers in ensuring food security. Small farms tend to be more diverse, emphasize agroecological practices, and protect local seeds and varieties, which are crucial for long-term food security. It also aims to review policies in securing the marginalized sectors' access and rights to land, which is an indispensable step in addressing food insecurity and malnutrition.
