You are invited to join and attend a talk featuring Dr. Paul Nadal (Princeton U) on Wilfrido Nolledo
This talk is a part of the LCSP x Exploding Galaxies lecture series titled States of the Filipino Novel.
A collaboration between the Literary and Cultural Studies Program at the Ateneo and Exploding Galaxies, in coordination with Kritika Kultura and PLUME, the lecture series explores the contexts and prospects of the Filipino novel at home and in the global diaspora. It revisits the foundational works in Philippine literature, hoping to revise and expand the canon, with a special focus on the so-called lost classics. Featuring some of the leading scholars, the lecture series brings the key texts in Philippine literature to the attention of new readers, creating opportunities for specialists, publishers, sellers, and readers in the country and beyond.
This lecture series aims to:
- Assess the state of Philippine literature, particularly fiction, and consider its past and future;
- Develop stronger ties between the university and the creative industry;
- Popularize the appreciation of Philippine literature;
- And expand the possibilities for the readership and marketing of Filipino authors nationally and internationally.
